Job Title: Business Development Manager (Trade Sales/Freight Forwarding)
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 plus benefits

The Role:
As the Business Development Manager you will be fully responsible for the management of the relationship between the Company and its target clients. Based in West Midlands, the main duties will include:

* Drive sales and deliver results whilst demonstrating knowledge of the freight forwarding industry
* Prospect, sell and deliver new business as agreed with the Sales Manager
* Deliver on the individual sales budget and business targets
* Continuously monitor all sales activity and execute sales campaigns and new market initiatives
* Selling and promoting all company products across the shipping/freight forwarding area including Ocean and Air
* Looking at existing working practices to have a continuous improvement mind-set
* Deliver a high level of client satisfaction and profitability

The Candidate:
Proven sales experience within a freight forwarding role is required. Experience within the Shipping/Freight Forwarding field is essential. The successful Business Development Manager will have strong commercial awareness and show and in-depth understanding of the business to business sales process. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate at all levels, have excellent negotiation skills and persuasion skills.
