The Role
Bluefire Consulting are recruiting for a General Manager to ensure the delivery of PFI projects, liaise with stakeholders and oversee the operational and commercial management of a high profile site in Blackburn. Reporting to the Regional Director the main duties of the role will include:
*overseeing delivery of the project agreement in line with existing contracts
*developing effective relationships with the project company, Board and funders
*ensuring the company's financial obligations are met appropriately
*writing reports including annual consolidations of permanent Variations to the project agreement
*participating in governance audits and actioning prompts
*managing interactions between all parties and resolve any contractual "grey areas"
*supervising service providers

The Candidate
As a successful General Manager candidate you need to have proven experience working with complex PFI-based project agreements within a healthcare or education setting and managing relationships with stakeholders. A professional qualification in management is essential and you must be confident overseeing performance monitoring of hard and soft facilities management.

With excellent interpersonal, communication and report writing skills, the ability to manage a team and a high level of business acumen as General Manager you will define the future development of a high profile site within a large community.

The Opportunity
Our client is an infrastructure and asset management company specialising in the built environment. Having won numerous high profile, long term contracts over the past few years they are looking to diversify the services offered to their clients and bring the project management in-house. The General Manager role has come about as the result of a regional restructure so will give you the opportunity to use both your technical and commercial skills to manage a variety of projects at a high profile site.
