Job Title: Logistics Scheduler
Location: Nr Barton, Cambridge
Salary: £25,000 plus benefits
The Role:
As the Logistics Scheduler you will arrange and oversee the matching and delivery of incoming orders to collections of orders from suppliers. Based within the Cambridge area, the main duties will include:
* Ensuring all purchase contracts are matched to sales contracts promptly and in time for the haulage department to arrange deliveries
* Liaising with customers to ensure required orders are received within the contracted period
* Ensuring all fixings are sent to third party suppliers within contracted time limits to ensure deliveries can be made
* Ensuring all price deductions resulting from quality are agreed and communicated to suppliers and entered into the database accordingly
* Maintaining accurate records within ADM computer system of missed deliveries, rejected loads and any other issues
* Informing managers or traders of any contractual issues so they can be actioned accordingly
* Liaising with internal departments to resolve any issues that may occur
The Candidate:
Previous logistics administration experience is required for this role. The successful Logistics Scheduler must be able to demonstrate the ability to organise own workload effectively to deadlines and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Educated to A Level/Degree standard, or equivalent, is preferable. Own transport is required due to location.
