Opportunity: Assistant Submissions Manager (Administrator)

Location: Cheadle

Salary: 20-25k + benefits

We are currently looking for an assistant submissions manager to join our client, a global construction and civil engineering organisation, to work from their site in Cheadle. Ideally experienced in previous production of proposals/tenders in the construction industry.Offering up to 25k, the role will also come with extensive benefits for the position.

Job Description

-Support the Submissions Team in the production of PQQ and tender submissions
-Agree timetable, deliverables and document template with Submissions Manager or Bid Manager
-Produce graphics for submissions - diagrams, organisation charts etc
- Lay out, format and proof read incoming text
- Liaise with Knowledge Manager to assist in the maintenance of the submissions database, including up-to-date CVs, project datasheets, model answers etc
- Support preparation of materials for presentations and tender interviews Post Tender Review Meetings and attend where required?
- Maintain the photo library
- Print, bind and file documents
- Maintain stock of materials required in submissions - paper, binding covers etc
- Carry out other administrative tasks as required

Requirements

-Previous experience of producing proposals or tender documents, ideally for major projects within construction, civil engineering or related industries
-Good design sensibilities and the ability to accurately edit submissions
-Effective interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with an ability to form effective relationships with partners under time pressure
-A desire to continuously pursue innovation and development, with a focus on the customer
-Proficient in Microsoft Word, with strong skills in other MS Office software, eg PowerPoint, Excel
-Strong capability in the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Acrobat Pro and Photoshop
-Good literacy and numeracy skills
-Scrupulous eye for detail, and high regard for accuracy
-Determination to see tasks through to completion
-Team player with good interpersonal and influencing skills.
-Self-starter who can manage their own time and seek and executes activities that add value to their function
