We are currently looking to recruit a financial auditor on behalf of our client, a global construction organisation. Based in Cheadle, offering up to £60k + car + benefits, we are looking to seek candidates that are a qualified accountant as a minimum, and have worked in the construction industry before. It is assumed candidates will be qualified in ACCA, CIMA or IIA .

Job Description
A Financial Auditor is required to carry out and / or lead audits assuring that business systems, policies, processes and procedures are being properly implemented and take appropriate action / escalation where it is found that compliance is being breached and to work to agreed auditing methodologies in line with the company Group Audit Manual and the company audit Process Operating Model (POM).

Requirements
-Has thorough knowledge of audit procedures, including planning techniques, testing and sampling methods involved in auditing.
-Has previous experience of conducting audits.
-Has an ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts.
-Pays attention to detail and sees things through to completion.
-Can deliver reports orally and written in an objective and persuasive manner.
-Has good interpersonal and communication skills and acts in an independent and professional manner with the ability to influence others.
-Is ambitious and capable of developing further within the department and ultimately the organisation
-Is a self-starter who manages their own time and seeks to add value to their function.
-Has an enquiring and questioning approach to audit work.
-Is able to work within a multi-discipline team.

Responsibilities
-Creates and contributes to detailed and thorough high quality audit reports to the business on their findings and presents these to the business in writing or orally.
-Supports the Assurance Manager, Financial in developing and reviewing an agreed audit plan, to be kept under review throughout the year.
-Maintains up to date knowledge of developments, regulation and thinking in assurance in the construction sector and elsewhere in order to bring best practice into the organisation.
-Leads, develops and coaches individuals to build high performing teams and creates a pipeline of talent.
