The Role

Bluefire Consulting are looking to recruit a knowledgeable Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an established telecoms company within a close knit very fast paced finance team to take ownership of the purchase ledger. The main duties of the role include:
*Entering in a high volume of invoices using multiple currencies onto Quickbook accounting software in a timely manner ensuring all details are accurate
*Handling supplier enquires with a firm and amicable approach ensuring all queries are dealt within 48 hours
*Inputting payments and employee expenses onto online banking server for Director's approval
*Reconciling of input VAT and providing assistance during quarterly VAT returns
*Forecasting payments and other adhoc administrative related tasks

The Candidate

The ideal Purchase Ledger Clerk will be used to dealing with a high volume of purchase ledger invoices and must be confident in working with foreign currencies. You must have previously held a role that regularly makes use of accountancy functions and be competent in proposing supplier payment runs. The successful Purchase Ledger Clerk will have demonstrated strong working knowledge of supplier invoice coding and ideally be familiar with QuickBooks software. To be considered for the Purchase Ledger Clerk position you must be comfortable communicating to all levels within an organization and have a competent understanding of Fixed Asset accounting.

The Package

£19-£23k basic salary
22 days holiday rising one day a year to a maximum of 25 days
