JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager; Logistics

Are you an experienced logistics sales professional keen to take the next step up in your career? We are looking for a positive, motivated individual to work alongside the Managing Director and Head of Operations in developing and maintaining commercial relationships within the pharmaceutical industry. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to become an integral part of the organisation in further developing the warehouse and distribution function of the business.

WHAT IS THE JOB DOING?


Being an integral part of the development of the warehouse and distribution function of the business. With the support of the Managing Director you will be responsible for leading small to medium sized commercial proposals and managing the complete process from initial engagement through to completion. You will be tasked with ensuring the warehouse spaces are filled and selling the EU accredited testing services to pharma clients. From generating new business, through to auditing products to ensure they are suitable to be stored and meet company criteria, you will be involved in the full 360 process including ownership of looking after your own client base. You will be given full autonomy in fulfilling the role and will be expected to manage your own diary of appointments in supporting the agreed business plan.
You will be reporting into the Managing Director and Head of Operations who has worked with the company over a decade and will ensure you have the resources required. He is a great source of knowledge and is motivational in his approach to management.
As a core member of the team, you will be expected to work autonomously and act as an ambassador for the company. This is a really exciting opportunity which combines sales and account management however the role will involve a significant amount of travel and flexibility.
