JOB TITLE: Estimator and Business Development Manager
LOCATION: Farnworth, Bolton covering sites in the North West
SALARY: £34 - £40k basic salary dependent on experience + bonus + benefits
WORKING HOURS: Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm

We are looking for an enthusiastic Estimator and Business Development Manager so manage estimates for predominantly public sector clients in the North West. WHO WILL YOU BE WORKING FOR?

Almost in their 70th year of business they specialise in long terms Framework contracts and this year awarded "Business of the Years" at a local town's award ceremony. Due its strong industry reputation they have forged long term business relationships with clients and are well known for their collaborative working methods within the North West. A medium sized business that still incorporate the original family values who see value in investing in their employees training and knowledge. Some of the fantastic benefits include 35 days holiday (including bank holidays) and also a 2 week close down period over Christmas.

There is a real team ethos across the organisation as a whole who believe in maintaining a positive working atmosphere in the work place, everyone has a "muck in" type of attitude and willingness to provide support within other areas of the business when needed.
They are a hard working fun loving close knit team and they are looking for likeminded individuals to submit estimates for Civil Engineers and Highway schemes as a result of gradual expansion.
You will be based out of their busy head office in Bolton and owing to the location will need to be a driver with access your own transport.



WHAT IS THE JOB DOING?

You will be integral part of the team and will predominantly be submitting estimates for Civil Engineers and Highway schemes. Working closely with the Managing Director and Bid Team on PQQ/ Framework submissions you be responsible for the production of method statements and be expected to negotiate with client meetings. Alongside your estimating duties they are looking for someone who can take a proactive approach to winning business through business development and offering up ideas for the improvement of strategic marketing techniques. This is a great opportunity for an Estimator with good commercial awareness who enjoys being client facing.
As a core member of the team, you will be expected to work autonomously and act as an ambassador for the company. The role will involve a travel to sites in the North West and to their regional office in Stockport as required.
