The Role:

Bluefire Consulting are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant to provide support within a worldwide logistics organisation based in their Felixstowe office. The main duties of the role include:
* Chase outstanding debts via phone, fax, letters and email on a day-to-day basis
* Monitor and ensure regular follow up on outstanding disputes
* Primary point of contact for customers and ensure adherence to credit policy
* Ensuring reporting is available to management as required on all credit and receivables matters
* Oversee credit application requests and ensure new accounts are set up in a timely manner
* Ensure all supplier invoices are processed correctly, payment requests ae raised within agreed timescales, supplier statement reconciled and rebates and customer credit notes are raised with relevant approval obtained
* Oversee urgent/manual payments ensuring all payments are run through company database
* Communicate supplier account issues/disputes with account teams

The Candidate

The ideal Finance Assistant must possess strong communication skills both written and verbal, be methodical, results driven and place a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. A finance background is essential and knowledge of Excel is required.
