What will you be doing?

Based at this prestigious, award winning, high profile site of a recognised luxury hotel brand, your role will be to grow, lead and develop an Events team tasked with building relationships with major FTSE 100 corporate, SME and individual clients to provide them with convention, exhibition and reception events space for over 500 delegates derived from a combination of unique individual venues across approximately 20,000 sq ft.

As part of a restructure for 2019, you will have direct involvement in increasing the headcount of the events team from two to four people and as such you will be part of the hiring decision maker process. You will then lead this events team and will be responsible for their training and development to ensure they reach their potential and achieve events sales targets.

What background will you need to have?

Ideally from a hotel and hospitality background, you will need proven events management experience and will understand the leisure and events industry. Critical for success in this role however is your people management skills, so you must have a demonstrable track record in team development and management, and you will have a keen focus as a people person on the development of the individuals within your team.

Who will you be working for?

Reporting to the Director of Sales, as Head of Department you will be working closely with the Field Sales Manager to ensure the site's annual sales targets and budgets are achieved.

What are the rewards?

Basic salary of £33,000 to £35,000 plus bonus, pension, 28 days holiday plus personal/friends and family discounts on group hotel rates throughout the globe!
