Job Description

Bluefire Consulting are recruiting for a Customer Service Manager for an insurance company based in Hertfordshire. The Customer Service Manager is responsible for the operation and success of the Department and for identifying ways to improve service. Main duties will include:

* Monitoring performance against targets and agreed SLA's
* Identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to improve service levels
* Implementing the customer service strategy
* Ensuring staff are complying with company procedures, legislation and FSA guidelines
* Evaluating current systems and work practices and revising in order to increase productivity and reduce costs
* Creating reports
* Building strong relationships with colleagues across all sites
* Ensuring the customer service department is operating effectively
* Dealing with escalated queries and resolving effectively
* Represent the department on various strategic initiatives.
* Engaging with the customers and using their feedback to implement necessary change
* Provides cover for Customer Services Executive, in their absence.

The successful Customer Service Manager must have process improvement or project management experience. It is essential that candidates have experience in the Insurance industry and hold, or be in the process of obtaining, CII accreditation. Candidates must have a strong customer service background and be able to demonstrate an awareness and understanding of the impact of changing market conditions. The successful candidate must have experience of producing reports and analysing data and be confident building relationships with colleagues.
