This role is based in Lancashire and we anticipate the role will eventually have an international dimension to work with


Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Director to create a sales and marketing vision for a well established brand within the UK market. Bluefire Consulting are looking for someone with experience of leading business process improvement. This is a hands on sales role that will involve the ability to maximise competitive position and driving sales forward. This role is based in Lancashire and we anticipate the role will eventually have an international dimension to work with businesses operating in Europe. Main duties will involve:
* Winning new profitable business whilst retaining and growing existing accounts
* Development and delivery of business strategy, with responsibility of profit & loss
* Developing and implementing market and sales strategy to achieve targeted outcomes
* Increasing market share in existing markets & maximising new business opportunities
* Producing and analysing sales forecasts
* Developing profit targets, sales/marketing plans and sales tactics for the business
* Achieving targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth
* Representing the company as conferences and exhibitions as required
* Obtaining intelligence on market trends and competitors
* Grow the sales team to ensure strategic success and business objectives are met

Proven experience of driving sales forward and leading on sales & marketing ideally at Director level is essential. The successful Sales Director must have a demonstrable record of success in developing strategy, developing approaches, achieving business results and sales targets. Excellent sales & negotiation skills as well as excellent leadership skills are a pre-requisite for this position. A commercial background of working in a complex environment and managing change is essential. Experience within the technical, telecoms or security field would be of particular interest.
