The Role
Bluefire Consulting are recruiting for a Group Finance Manager to review and manage accounts and coordinate budgeting and forecasting for a well-established retail organisation based in Langholm.
*coordinating the monthly management accounts for the 1000+ store group of trading companies
*overseeing the budgeting and forecasting process including the P&L, cashflow and balance sheet in line with the budget timetable
*producing the Year End management accounts
*continually assessing the company's financial performance
*performing due diligence on potential acquisitions and providing financial support to the Commercial Director for capital investment decisions
*managing a team of 10 management accountants including a Property Accountant and Sourcing Accountant
*maintaining an excellent working relationship with operational teams and heads of department.

The Candidate
As a successful Group Finance Manager candidate you must be able to demonstrate a full or CIMA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent) in addition to a background working within a retail or chartered accountancy environment. Experience of timetable planning, report writing, mergers and acquisitions, P&L accounting, balance sheets and cashflow is essential. Also required are excellent numeracy and communication skills, a passion for detail and proven ability to delegate.

They are going from strength to strength within the current market and have recently acquired a number of other well-known fashion and homeware chains to increase their appeal, now totalling over 1000 stores throughout the UK.
