Job Summary

Business Change Project Manager. Liverpool. £35,191 Flexible working including working from home, 12 months fixed term contract. We are looking for a PM with significant experience of planning and implementing business change projects, ideally within the public sector. Reporting to the Head of Business Change, you will support the coordination, planning management and delivery of a specific suite of projects designed to transform the organisation using an agreed Project Management Framework. Whilst projects include digital services and transformation, please note this is NOT an IT project management role.


Job Description

Business Change Project Manager

Working for a respected government organisation responsible for promoting the public trust and confidence in the voluntary sector, your role as Project Manager will be to support the organisation as it undergoes significant change and growth, with headcount set to increase by 25% and with a portfolio of over 20 projects to complete over 2018/19.

We are looking for a PM with significant experience of planning and implementing business change projects, ideally within the public sector. Reporting to the Head of Business Change, you will support the coordination, planning management and delivery of a specific suite of projects designed to transform the organisation using an agreed Project Management Framework. Whilst projects include digital services and transformation, please note this is NOT an IT project management role.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate proven skills of the ability to work collaboratively and constructively with senior responsibility owners, change management team colleagues, and ensuring that projects adopt a discipline and rigour that ensures smooth and effective delivery.
The role will initially be on a 12 months fixed term contract, however due to ongoing reshaping of the organisation it is anticipated that permanent opportunities will be available at the end of the fixed term contract period.

We welcome applications from candidates who possess Project Management certification such as Prince 2 or equivalent and who have experience of utilising tools and techniques to manage a portfolio of projects throughout the full project life cycle. This skills include project definition, risk, stakeholder management and negotiation, and ensuring projects deliver value for money.
