Job Description

Our client is one of the leading digital brands on the U.K high street. The company has a requirement to recruit an enthusiastic and charismatic Regional Manager to drive sales and increase the overall customer experience. The region covers London and the South East comes with a salary of around £45K with an OTE of £57K + a £5500 car allowance plus pension and a range of other benefits. It is essential that you have prior management experience of multiple site retail units and ideally, you will have worked previously in a retail digital / media / electronics or telecoms environment.
Our client has a market presence of around 100 stores U.K. wide, with a reputation for not only providing the highest quality of digital media products but also for ensuring that the customer experience is second to none. The prime responsibility for any successful candidate will be to maintain and build upon this reputation while driving sales, staff performance and engagement. This is not a role for an authoritarian; the successful applicant should be able to demonstrate how through guidance, knowledge and inspiration they are able to maintain the status quo and implement changes when necessary.
This is a home based role with the majority of your working week spent visiting branches and providing leadership to both store managers and employees. On that basis, you should ideally be based within the M25 circle.
You will be responsible for motivating and guiding store managers to achieve sales targets, costs, quality and profitability through delivering an excellent customer experience, which will be measured by the net promoter score KPI. You will be responsible for 13 direct reports and over 90 employees.
Candidates should be degree educated or equivalent in a business related discipline with at least 5 years' experience in a multi-site retail environment preferably as a regional or supply manager. This role calls for outstanding communication and presentation skills which can be utilised in a number of different environments. Candidates should be highly commercially aware and maintain a watchful eye on what competitors are doing in the market place.
The regional manager has overall responsibility for budget spending in the region; therefore applicants will be expected to have held accountability for budgets previously and be able to provide details of how ensured they got the maximum value for any such spends.
As with any position of this nature, candidates will be expected to have a working knowledge of health and safety and be aware of all the key points in regards to legislation.
The regional manager will be playing a part in supporting both marketing and brand promotional activities, so previous experience in this area would be beneficial. Candidates who have been involved with the opening and closing down of stores previously would also be of some interest.
