Job Title: Fleet Superintendent/Chief Marine Engineer
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £50,000-£55,000 plus £6,500 allowance

The Role:
As the Fleet Superintendent you will act as Ship Manager for the day-to-day technical operation and maintenance. Based in Newcastle, the main duties will include:

* Responsibility for maintenance, repairs, planned maintenance and modifications to vessels' hull and machineries
* Planning and coordination for inspection and dry docking of vessels
* Ensuring all vessel certification and surveys for class, flag and international requirements
* Verification and approval of work and monitor quality of all services are in accordance with regulatory requirements
* Management of all technical matters and ensuring safety is regarded as a primary concern
* Calculation of financial budgets for maintenance, repairs, stores and dry dockings
* Daily, weekly and monthly reporting to organisation

The Candidate:
Previous experience within a Marine engineering role is essential, either within a Fleet Superintendent, Chief Engineer or Mechanical Engineer role. The successful Fleet Superintendent will have an engineer/marine engineer degree, or equivalent. You must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multi task and work under pressure. Previous management experience required.
