Role Title: Service / Reception Manager

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Administrator / Service Manager / Receptionist to join a leading specialist vehicle servicing company based in Oldham. The company is committed to the development and career progression of its employees.


The Role

In this role you will join an established service team and will be responsible for the Administration, customer service, documentation, invoicing of the service department and the onsite and offsite engineers. A large proportion of your time will be on the claim management process which will include the process of warranty and contract claims within agreed timescales, ensuring compliance of all technical documentation, as well as dealing with all claims and breakdown related queries as necessary. You will be responsible for completing timesheets within agreed timescales as well as ensuring all recharge claims are processed along with appropriate reports and documentation where required.

On a regular basis you will have the opportunity to liaise with the service engineers and parts department to discuss and resolve current issues and error trends with a view to streamlining process and improving efficiency. Continually developing your own knowledge of products and systems, identifying areas for system upgrades and improvements you will also continually and effectively manage performance reviews for the department and attend customer reviews as necessary. You will also support the company's engineering team by managing the administration of the company vehicle fleet as well as monitoring and reporting health and safety levels throughout the business.


The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally come from an administration / service / receptionist background. Having experience of working in any of the following environments or similar would be desirable although not mandatory; Automotive/Dealership/HGV/Plant/Electro Mechanical/HVAC/Courier Depot/Repair centre/Service Centre. You will have excellent communication skills, a strong sense of customer service and a high level of organisation and creative awareness. With an understanding of manufacturer repair, maintenance and warranty standards, experience within a service role would be an advantage although we would be very keen to hear from candidates who have a high level of administrative organisation skills and whom are able to communicate clearly in both verbal and written formats.
Able to work individually or as part of a team you will have a high level of initiative and you must be competent in IT software including Microsoft Excel and Access, and the ability to analyst data. You will have a strong attention to detail and you will take ownership of tasks through to completion.
Any qualifications in First Aid, Health and Safety or Fire Marshall would be desirable although not essential.
