Job Description

Our client specialise in full service bespoke brand licensing and are subsidiary for a world leading motor sport company who have an urgent requirement to hire an Production Coordinator to be based in Oxfordshire. The role is paying £18k to £22k. Previous experience in a similar role within merchandise would be an advantage¸ experience in clothing and accessories buying or retail buying role is desirable. Good all round general education & Excellent IT skills are required. You will need to be especially proficient in Excel.

In this role you will be required to manage sourcing brand projects delivering the right price in line with timing schedules and range plans for stock requirements . You will need excellent attention to detail, clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal and an excellent telephone manner. We are looking for candidates who can display initiative and a friendly approachable character.

Key responsibilities:

§ To oversee brand projects and delivery results in line with target prices, quality levels and delivery dates
§ Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers ensuring best total acquisition costs
§ Place purchase orders within the agreed time frame, negotiating/agreeing all contractual issues before order placement
§ Develop suppliers to continually improve service ie costs, quality, delivery and support
§ Maintain best working practices at all times in line with department systems and policy
§ Feedback delivery information to production/sales team and ensure best communication throughout the company
§ Effectively communicate the clients requirements to suppliers
§ Continually enhance the professional image of the purchasing function both internally and externally
§ To file copies of own purchase orders and supplier information and match supplier invoices
§ Print all schedules for our relevant customers,
§ Provide administrative support to the Production Manager
§ Issue reports on supplier commodity codes for update and analysis to support supplier reduction programme
§ Work with sales on specific projects
§ Co-ordinate client satisfaction process and feedback for business development meetings
