Job Summary

Bluefire Consulting are looking for an Area Sales Manager to cover the South East for a role paying £30-£40k plus car, quarterly bonus, laptop, mobile. You will drive sales and growth, through managing a portfolio of accounts with growth potential and through identifying new business opportunities, working with the branches to deliver a high standard of customer satisfaction. We are looking for someone who has previous experience in the Generator Industry.

Covering the South East
Paying £30-£40k plus car and OTE bonus


The Role
The Area Sales Manager will drive sales and growth, through managing a portfolio of accounts with growth potential and through identifying new business opportunities, working with the branches to deliver a high standard of customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities:
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for;

*Grow Hire sales profitability at local level in key industry sectors - construction, utilities, rail, telecoms, events etc.
*Deliver objectives on sales, profit, debt, CRM and customer satisfaction
*Support our Key Account portfolio with regular visits to increase opportunity for income and review our service levels
*Follow all agreed procedures and comply with the company processes and systems
*Carry out a regular discount review and manage the overall discount in your region
*Implement sales campaigns, working with your region to maximise their impact
*Respond promptly to leads provided by the Regional Sales Director and Sales Application Manager
*Use knowledge of local markets, competition and customers to propose deals and ways of working that balance customer needs with our business targets
*Manage pricing of hires and accessories for all accounts taking into account costs (transport, fuel, cables, labour etc)
*Liaise with depot colleagues to ensure hire orders are met in a timely and cost efficient way
*Manage customer care issues such as complaints, payment problems
*Ensure that use of marketing tools are optimised e.g. website, brochures, and flyers etc.
*Support back office sales support e.g. telephone sales, mail shots etc.
*Provide appropriate cover in the Depot when required to cover holiday and absence.

The Candidate
The ideal Area Sales Manager will have;
Successful track record in selling within the generator hire industry
Focused on delivering customer excellence through commercial acumen and a structured approach to selling
Be a pro-active self starter with the ability to make decisions and work on own initiative
Analytical with highly toned planning, prioritising and organisational skills
Able to manage change
Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
Able to work within budgets
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to effectively communicate and motivate others
Strong IT skills


The Company
The Area Sales Manager will work for a nationwide generator hire company who are part of the the UKs No1 Hire Company.

The Package
The Area Sales Manager role is paying £30-£40k plus car and OTE bonus. Quarterly bonus - £1,000. This is based on achieving new business, cross selling, debt control and customer visits targets. A minimum of 2 x £20k customers brought on per quarter is required. Company car, laptop & mobile supplied and 20 days annual leave to start.
