We are looking for a Team Manager for the Credit Control department based in Preston of one of the biggest telecoms companies in the UK. Most important for this role is a strong, charismatic manager to drive the department forward. Ideal candidates will come from a sales background or ideally have experience in credit control in a telecoms company.
Salary is 25k-30k based on experience.

Role Purpose

*Carry out day-to-day management and motivation of collection co-ordinators to ensure all collection activities are completed on time to tight monthly deadlines.
*Control the collections process from end to end in accordance with the divisional credit policy and make recommendations for improvements where appropriate.
*Reduce the level of bad debt exposure, and customer churn, by driving debt collections activities, and preventing debt from reaching 60 days.
*Ensure all bad debts are followed up through debt recovery procedure, and all relevant documentation has been collated to aid legal proceedings.
*Maintain inter departmental working practices, to ensure Business operational processes are adequate to cope with constantly changing platforms and products, whilst identifying new staff requirements and new skill levels.
*Improve current controls and procedures and ensure that these are documented and understood by all parties.
*Maintain cross-functional training across all systems and procedures to meet successive planning requirements.
*Conduct regular one to one progress meetings, reviews and appraisals in accordance with Business procedures.
*Job holder will be responsible for recruiting new team members, and ensuring that all HR policies and procedures are followed.
*Carry out additional duties as requested by the jobholder's manager
