Customer Service Representative

Slough

Permanent role paying £25600 including £1300 Guaranteed OT per annum + up to £2k Bonus+ private health + pension + holidays.

This is an opportunity to join an established team of call handlers working for a global leading engineering company based on the Slough industrial estate. If you have experience in a call centre environment or as a scheduler, call handler within customer service please apply.

What will you be doing?

You will be taking calls from a range of different commercial customers who need assistance with machine installs, maintenance and/or breakdowns. You will log the calls onto the database, collecting as much information as possible and then assign an engineer to rectify any issues.

Through training and experience the role will develop and you will be responsible for planning the weekly routines of up to seven engineers across the UK. This will involve arranging for site visits, material pickups, hotels, and servicing of vehicles.


Who are you?

You have previously worked in a customer service type position whether this be as a call handler, scheduler, with a call centre or in a customer service based role.

You enjoy taking ownership of problems and are able to think on your feet to find resolutions while maintaining calmness and professionalism. You are confident without be overbearing and are eager to learn and able to take constructive feedback without becoming disheartened.

A clear and precise telephone manner is essential for this role as you could be talking with engineers, chefs, the police fire brigade, senior management and directors or any amount of stakeholders on a daily basis.

The role will suit someone who has a good level of confidence on the phone and solid written skills as you will be using email throughout the day. Finally you will need to have solid administration skills, so a good knowledge of Microsoft office package including word, excel and outlook.

What are the hours and salary?

You will work an eight and half hours a day with a one hour lunch, between 7.45-18.00pm.
There are three start and finish times 7.45am-16.15pm, 8.30am-17.00pm and 9.30am-18.00pm.
Your salary will be £24300 per annum. Every three weeks you will work one Saturday shift 13.00-17.00pm which is paid at 1.5 rate so £18.69 per hour which works out at £1300 a year. Combined salary £25600. There is also up to a £2000 bonus if you hit targets. Private health, holidays and additional OT is available.
