We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Assistant/ Accounts Assistant to assume responsibility of maintaining the books and reconciling company accounts, based out of their Thatcham head office.

Their Senior Business Relationship Manager, initially joined the company as a Sales Development Executive; Client Relationship Manager is now a part of the Leadership team responsible for the strategic direction of the business and provides hands on management and support to the sales function of the business. They are looking for individuals with the same drive and determination to help develop the business further.
Based in the historic county of Berkshire within a modern office located close to public transport links, there is free parking on site and close to a selection of lovely country garden pubs for those summer evenings!



WHAT IS THE JOB DOING?

The role of Finance Assistant/ Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for managing the company's general accounts. With the support of an Office Administrator the main duties of the role include:

*Managing the day to day financial operations including; managing cashflow, forecasting, bank reconciliations, weekly payment runs and assisting with payroll reports.
*General bookkeeping responsibilities and reconciling up to trail balance
*Processing staff expenses and monitoring staff credit card expenses
*Producing management accounts and VAT returns
*General administrative filing and finance duties as requested by the Managing Director

You will be reporting directly into the Managing Director of the company and have general responsibility of the company's general accounts, so ideally need to be comfortable in standalone role. You will be supported the Office Administrator but expected to knowledgeable in general accounts functions.

Although this is initially a temporary position, should you prove yourself in the role there is a permanent opening available.
