Job Title: Claims Handler
Location: Wirral, Merseyside
Salary: £17-24K plus benefits

The Role:
As the Claims Handler you will provide a professional customer focused claims service to ensure new and existing claims are processed within guidelines. Based within the Wirral area, the main duties will include:

* Assisting in developing an efficient process to deal with all new claim applications
* Operating all new claims processes and ensuring applications are dealt with efficiently and relevant referrals are made as appropriate
* Using the claims database to log, track and proactively meet claim workflow KPI's
* Identifying and informing the Claims Manager or Head of Claims on contentious issues at the earliest opportunity
* Liaising with the insurer and other external bodies as required to update on current claims and chasing documentation as required
* Ensuring the client files in relation to Claims are reviewed with company compliance plan
* To understand and comply with Quality Management systems and FCA rules


The Candidate:
Previous experience within a claims role and working knowledge of FCA Regulations are essential. The successful Claims Handler must be able to demonstrate a general understanding of the insurance marketing, the ability to organise own workload effectively and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Property claims experience or surveying knowledge would be advantageous.
