Job Title: Claims Auditor; Insurance; Compliance
Location: Wirral, Merseyside
Salary: £26-28k

The Role:
As the Claims Auditor you will manage the audit provision within the Claims department on a day to day basis to ensure processes are followed at all times. Based within the Wirral area, the main duties will include:
*Develop and manage the audit process and delivery of assigned audits in line with agreed parameters
*Collating, checking and analysing claims files on a continual basis
*Identify if, and where, processes are not working as per operating procedures, FCA principles and authority agreements
*Liaison with Operations Officer to develop further processes
*Liaison with managerial staff and present findings and recommendations for improvements
*Identify areas of exposure, potential problems and liabilities
*Manage the tracking and closure of any audit issues to ensure adequate solutions and prevention methods are found
*Undertake Audit Risk Assessments at least yearly, in order to ensure audit and sampling processes are in line with objectives and strategies
*Highlight and assist with any training requirements for competency levels within the Claims department
*Develop and maintain a continual monitoring of claims handling process in line with ISO requirements


The Candidate:
Excellent claims knowledge and experience combined with FCA regulatory knowledge is required for this role. Previous experience within an audit and compliance role and working knowledge of word, excel and databases are essential. The successful Claims Auditor must be able to demonstrate the ability to organise own workload effectively and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. A background in building insurance or the construction field is preferred.
