We are currently looking for a senior temporary works design engineer, to work for our client a major civil engineering organisation in the UK. Offering up to £48k + car + benefits for the role, the role will be based out of Barton-Upon-Humber.

Job Description
Two Senior Temporary Works Designers are required to support and lead the management and delivery of temporary works, engineering services within Regional business.

Requirements
-Significant temporary works design experience in a civil engineering context
-Site experience would be beneficial but not mandatory
-Actively seeking/achieved CEng MICE or equivalent
-Maintains up to date technical knowledge, and willing to share best practice
-Contributes to managing the financial aspects of projects.
-Proactively promotes technical awareness and competence within the Company
-Highly organised and able to work on own initiative
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required
-Excellent team working skills, and able to build relationships at all levels
-Ability to work well under pressure and to tight timescales
-Very strong customer focus
-Ability to produce temporary works engineering drawings using CAD software is desirable
-An understanding of BIM is desirable.

Responsibilities
-Responsible for temporary works design requirements for individual projects and tenders with minimum supervision. Delivering them to time and budget.
-Investigates alternative designs for temporary works, working with the site team.
-Reports on the progress of designs and proactively highlight recommendations or issues
-Ensure design risks are considered and prepare Designers Risk Assessments, communicating residual design risks as appropriate
-Provide strong technical support to tenders and support the work winning team in value engineering temporary works and in identifying innovative and robust solutions
-Lead temporary works assurance on projects through conducting audits and regular meetings with project teams, identifying best practice, areas for improvement and areas of concern
-Develop and maintain relationships with relevant technical consultants and suppliers, managing their input into design requirements and solutions
-Maintain personal expertise and knowledge to ensure that the Regional business is at the forefront of the industry both technically and in using the latest technologies and standards
-Coach less experienced members of the team to deliver high performance and a culture of continuous improvement
