The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Site Engineer to join our client, a Global Civil Engineering Organisation. With main offices located across the nation including Manchester and Birmingham, you will be site based working on the piling and precast unit install on an exciting new £52m project on the Blackpool water front. The role

This is a permanent, full time role working on the piling and precast unit install on an a £52m project site on the Blackpool water front. The successful Site Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

-Interpret drawings into reality and set out on site. Full understanding of reinforcement drawings and bending schedules.
-Liaise with sub contractors and clearly explain operational and commercial matters affecting them.
-Full understanding of site temporary works procedures
-Control of sub contractors from the point of view of quality and interpretation of information
-Understand and interpret project specifications such that these are met fully by the sub contractor.
-Produce reports and surveys as required by Site Management
-To take primary responsibility for quality control of activities requiring engineering control
-Take off materials from drawings and order in liaison with site management.
-Liaise with senior project team to ensure their awareness of all potential opportunities and risk.
-Ensure full liaison to make sure materials delivered to site in accordance with procurement schedules.


-Be able to work on construction sites.
-A good level of numeracy and be analytical in nature.
-Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
-Be self motivating with a strong desire to achieve.
-Good communication and inter personal skills.
-Well organised with good time management skills.
-Computer Literate.
-Knowledge and experience of various piling and ground improvement systems.
