Position: Junior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Crawley
Salary: £25,000-£30,000 +Bonus & Excellent Company Benefits

The Opportunity
We have a great opportunity for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a globally renowned, specialist energy management company in their Crawley offices. Voted one of the top 25 companies in the world to work for the successful Junior Quality Surveyor will have the opportunity to train and progress through the company.
The Junior Quantity Surveyor shall provide post contract support, so must have strong communication skills. We are looking for somebody with 1 years' experience in construction ideally with RICS and a QS degree or equivalent qualifications. This is perfect for a driven candidate to take on a challenge.

The Role
Working alongside the Commercial Manager the Junior Quantity Surveyor will provide post contract support, with the view to take on more pre contract responsibility, as they train and progress.

Key roles and responsibilities:
* To ensure the profits post contract are maximised
* To minimise contractual and financial risks
* To ensure all contractual opportunities are exploited
* To support post contract on multiple projects ranging from £2000 - £2,000,000
* Maintain contract documentation and advice on post contract matters
* Preparation and issue of contractual letters/notices to clients and subcontractors
* Post contract liaison with clients
* Post contract liaison with in house teams through project reviews/day to day activities
* Preparation and submission of complex interim valuations
* Agree final accounts

The Candidate
We are looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor who will become a contributing member to our clients close knit business. Somebody who enjoy working as a team in a fun and dynamic environment, with the confidence and motivation to also work independently and take on new challenging and exciting projects. The successful candidate will have had previous Quantity Surveying or estimating experience in a construction environment, who can identify and solve problems, where others might miss them.

Desirable experience/qualifications;
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or related subject
* RICS
* 1Practical experience within the construction industry (1 year+)
