Job Title: Operations Manager; Depot Manager (Derby)


The Role:
As the Operations Manager you will join a small well-established company that provides a key service to all organisations such as construction companies, building services and the public sector. This is a newly created key role within the business to manage a growing team within the regional depot in Derbyshire in order to ensure productivity, health & safety, financials and quality elements of the operation are met. Based in Foston, Derby the main duties will include:

· Reporting to the Managing Director and take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the regional depot
· Managing the operational budget and oversee all Health & Safety for the site
· Management of product refurbishment, maintenance, cost evaluation, damage recovery and fleet ready utilisation objectives
· Driving and monitoring business performance of the Derby branch
· Management, development and motivation of the operations team to ensure productivity and quality standards are achieved
· Apply a continuous improvement approach to quality objectives and ensure a customer focused ethos is maintained
· Working with the Managing Director and wider teams at other locations around the UK to ensure business objectives are achieved


The Candidate:
Previous experience as an Operations Manager or Depot Manager with experience of managing and developing key personnel is essential. A strong track record in leadership, commercial awareness and customer management skills are required. The successful Operations Manager must have experience of managing budgets, cost control, IT applications and meeting multiple deadlines. A background within construction or building would be advantageous, although training will be given.
