WORKING HOURS: Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm

We are looking for an ambitious Commercial Assistant; Procurement Officer to manage the procurement function and process of tenders for predominantly public sector clients in the North West. Due its strong industry reputation they have forged long term business relationships with clients and are well known for their collaborative working methods within the North West. A company whose order book stretches up to 2 years in advance due its strong reputation and knowledgeable team. A medium sized business that still incorporates the original family values who sees worth investing in their employees training. They are a hard working fun loving close knit team and they are looking for likeminded individuals to manage the procurement function and process of tenders for Civil Engineers and Highway schemes.
You will be based out of their busy head office in Bolton and owing to the location will need to be a driver with access your own transport.



WHAT IS THE JOB DOING?

Reporting into the Commercial Manager, you will be integral part of the team and will predominantly be responsible managing the procurement function and tender process for potential projects. Working closely with the Managing Director and Estimator you will be tasked with identifying new business opportunities and submit PQQ submission prices for tenders. In addition to this you will be tasked with procuring materials/ services as required in order to fulfil annual contracts. It will be your responsibility to manage and develop the supply chain relationships including carrying out reviews and rebates. Another element of this role will be developing the company's marketing strategy in line with targeting potential tender opportunities.

As a core member of the team, you will be expected to work autonomously and act as an ambassador for the company. The role will involve some travel to sites in the North West and to their regional office in Stockport as required.
