The Opportunity
Are you looking for the chance to work at Hogwarts' real life counterpart?

We're looking for a Construction Project Manager to oversee the forward maintenance programme and build projects at one the UK's oldest private education institutions.
This is really varied and interesting work, alongside maintaining the current estate as Project Manager you'll be responsible for new build assignments.

The Role
As the Project Manager you will oversee the estate's forward maintenance programme for our 200 acre site comprising of 120 buildings and 140 acres of sports fields. Over the coming 5 years we have ambitious plans to develop some of our existing sites to ensure they remain cutting edge whilst staying in line with the current aesthetic.
We also need to construct an entirely new maintenance building and classroom complex.

In order to do this you will be given charge of the full lifecycle of these projects including assisting with the design development of the buildings, managing the procurement process and supplier relationships and ensuring the projects meet all legal requirements.
From there you'll oversee the build, taking responsibility for the contractors on site and ensuring the assignments are thoroughly snag checked prior to sign off.

The Candidate
If you have a background in construction project management we'd like to hear from you.

You will need a knowledge of construction contracts and regulations surrounding planning, building and CDM to ensure everything is going according to plan and good budget management skills as it's you that controls the construction purse strings.
We would like to see a construction related degree (or equivalent qualification) to demonstrate you have the academic background to support your impressive practical experience.

Our buildings are beautiful but they are old so need someone with experience working on listed buildings to maintain them properly.

From a personality point of view our team is very close knit and as the Project Manager role will involve a lot of contact with staff, students and external contractors you'll need to be a people person to enjoy working here.
