Job Title: Bid Manager

Location: Leeds

Salary: 40-50k + benefits

We are currently looking to recruit a bid manager for our client, a leading infrastructure services organisation, working from their office in Leeds. Offering up to 50k plus benefits, we are looking to hear from candidates with experience in a similar background, looking to progress to their next stage of their career.

Role Purpose
- To effectively manage the bid process from receipt of tender to submission to customer and thereafter to manage and coordinate the transition of successful tenders to the operational delivery teams.

Accountabilities
-Working with our established bid management system to develop and produce bid winning tenders
-Providing input into pre-qualification questionnaires as required
-Working with site staff who may be seconded into the tender team and coaching these staff on processes such as market intelligence, business strategy, and bid management
-Liaising with our business development managers to capture and exchange market intelligence
-Liaising with commercial department / estimators, purchasing department, legal and insurance and individual business units at PQQ and Tender level
-Client liaison, attending tender briefings, workshops and conferences
-Researching engineering details to establish winning strategies for tenders including liaison with subcontractors as well as the projects stakeholders
-Providing high quality submissions and pre-qualifications to support tenders
-Providing and delivering high quality oral presentations to clients
-Managing work winning process meetings and ensuring review meetings are conducted effectively and production of corresponding meeting records and assignment of actions
-Liaison with specialist designers and professional services providers

Requirements
-Experience in a similar role with experience on civil engineering projects
-Strong interpersonal skills
-Strong communication skills
-Capable of working to strict programme periods both autonomously and as part of a team
-Excellent written English skills
-Effective IT implementation skills
-Ideally a Chartered Engineer or working toward this or a similar professional qualification
