The Client

Our client is a leading international construction consultancy company providing services across three fully integrated business lines: Infrastructure, Environment and Buildings. They work diligently to deliver successful solutions that meet client objectives and to realise their vision to inspire extraordinary environments.

In Infrastructure they primarily work for clients in the transport, water and energy sectors enabling them to achieve their goals by providing solid cost, programme and project management consultancy services.


About the Role

The main function of the role is to help build a leading consultant position for our client on secondment within Transport for London under the new Commercial Services Framework. Supporting the Director of Transport you will be actively contributing to the achievement of sector business plan and the growth and development of the Transport sector team; realizing our client's ambition to become a national transport consultancy business.

About You

You will have knowledge of the infrastructure and transport market and detailed knowledge of the cost of construction. You will have the required detailed knowledge of the NEC and other forms of contract, strong technical and reporting accuracy with detailed knowledge of tendering and procurement and strategic advice within transportation and an understanding of risk management techniques

You will be an experienced senior level Quantity Surveyor who has acted in a similar role and sector before; specifically with experience using the NEC form of contract and with extensive client facing exposure. Preferably you will have some form of industry qualification and accreditation such as RICS, APM, etc. Previous rail client account management experience within a leading consultancy would be advantageous.
