Job Description

The Client

Our client is a leading international construction consultancy company providing services across three fully integrated business lines: Infrastructure, Environment and Buildings.

They are a leading supplier of specialist technical consultancy and implementation services to regulated industries and associated market sectors, primarily working for clients in the nuclear, oil, gas and process and transportation sectors enabling them to achieve their goals by developing risk management and specialised engineering processes.

About the Role

Aim of the role is to help grow their systems engineering capability in the transportation sector by taking ownership of client problems and develop and implement innovative added value solutions. He/she wins net orders and grows orders annually at an accelerated rate whilst ensuring the quality and consistency of service delivery to clients.

This is a client facing role and demonstrable skills in maintaining and developing both internal and external relationships are required.

About You

Ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate substantial experience with management of technical requirements for transportation projects. He/she is a confident communicator and be able to integrate effectively into a client organisation. Experience should include management of technical requirements, analysis, capturing and allocation of requirements to work packages in relevant requirements databases such as DOORS.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: Excellent writing skills; Ability to build effective working relationships in order to source required information from technical specialists; Initiative and creativity; Ability to handle challenge and iteration of writing outputs; Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team; Excellent organisational skills; Attention to detail; Ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines; A flexible approach.


Your Skills

* Degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline
* Ideally the candidate should be a member of a recognised engineering institute.
* Systems engineering capability in the transportation sector
* Demonstrable client relationship skills, including negotiation and client delivery
* IT literate with previous use of industry software databases such as DOORS
