Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for a project manager with experience of civil engineering projects for a leading infrastructure services business based around the North-West, in which the role will initially be based around Northwich, later moving to Frodsham. The project manager role will be offering circa 45k + benefits, in which we are ideally looking to hear from candidates who have managed Civil Engineering projects up to the value of £10m including projects in the water industry.

Job Title: Project Manager - North West - Civil Engineering

Salary: 40-45k (Possibly higher for the right candidate)

Location: Northwich/Frodsham

We are currently recruiting for a project manager with experience of civil engineering projects for a leading infrastructure services business based around the North-West, in which the role will initially be based around Northwich, later moving to Frodsham. The project manager role will be offering circa 45k + benefits, in which we are ideally looking to hear from candidates who have managed Civil Engineering projects up to the value of £10m including projects in the water industry.

Responsibilities
-To profitably complete projects in accordance with the clients specifications and to ensure client satisfaction
-To plan resources and ensure any shortfalls / over re-sourcing issues are resolved in a timely and cost effective manner
-To coordinate and manage any interface with other parts of the division
-To ensure all personnel within your control including subcontractors work in accordance with the company policies, are trained, competent and aware and in particular work safely
-To jointly prepare project Cost Value Reports & Contract Status Reports with commercial staff
-To liaise with estimating to provide value engineering expertise, lessons learnt etc to allow the division to submit quality, competitive tenders to our clients
-To deliver project schemes profitably and to time to enhance the company's reputation and look to further business
-To assist in recognising new client targets and developing an approach to target with Commercial Manager

Requirements
-Extensive Project Management experience on civil engineering projects, specifically Highways/Structures/Rail
-HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering
-Chartered Status desirable
-Must be a team player but also able to work on own initiative
-Managed civil engineering projects up to £10 million
-Must have experience in the water industry
-Some level of design experience
-Worked previously for a major contractor
-Ideally been through a graduate scheme or degree qualified
-Can manage sub-contractors
-Customer focused
-Can manage people
