The role requires somebody with strong communication and change management skills who can use the correct blend of tact and persuasiveness to ensure this fast moving, KPI driven business reaches targets within a safe and efficient environment.

The Duties

-To manage the interface on all health, safety and environmental matters linked to the delivery of a fibre network and to ensure that risks are controlled, monitored and mitigated as far as reasonably practicable.

-To ensure that advice and support provided, helps to improve service delivery, maintaining a strong internal customer focus in support of operational teams.

-To provide support on all health, safety, quality and environmental aspects of all group activities.

-Ensure that managers and employees are aware of and adhere to their health, safety and environmental responsibilities.

-You are responsible for developing the Health, Safety and Environmental risk management strategy and ensuring effective implementation of the risk management plan.

-Ensure that the company's policies and procedures relating to health, safety and environmental matters are adhered to at all times and appropriate audit mechanisms are in place to monitor against these disciplines.

-Prepare and present reports, information and statistics on health and safety and environmental matters and attend board, committee and other meetings as required.

- Assist with the preparation and delivery of training in relation to company H&S policy.

- Line management of senior civils supervisors.

- NEBOSH, CMIOSH or similar recognised qualification with experience.
