We are currently looking for a quantity surveyor with social housing experience to work for our client, a world class infrastructure services business. The quantity surveyor suitable for this position, will have social housing experience as a must and project quantity surveying experience ideally. The position offers £35-40k plus benefits and is based in Rochdale.

Job Description
Provide a surveying service across a wide range of common projects.

Requirements
Controls commercial activity of projects. Includes surveying, procurement, monitoring project progress, controlling costs and expenditure on a project in order to maximise profit and cash flow.

Responsibilities
Make Safety Personal by working safely, stopping work if unsafe and speaking up to address any safety concerns.

Participate in safety initiatives.

Manage commercial and contractual arrangements associated with a project and works.

Ensure cost allocated to jobs are correct.

Monitor and assess project progress on a monthly basis.

Initiate invoicing of customers for work completed in line with commercial and contractual arrangement in place.

Price, negotiate and agree costs and budgets for a project and project variances.

Resolve commercial and contractual disputes with the customer.

Manage and maximise cash flow to meet company standards and budgets.

Produce financial and managerial reports that monitor project progress.

Manage the procurement process and payment of sub-contractors in accordance with company procedures.

Embrace learning and development opportunities

Produce bonus targets for directly employed operatives and carry out weekly surveying duties.
