Our client, a global civil engineering business, are currently seeking an experienced senior quantity surveyor. Offering up to 48k + car + benefits, the successful candidate will be providing a surveying and contractual service to civil engineering projects, and supporting the Commercial Manager and managing QS responsible for business stream; Controlling commercial activity of projects, including surveying, monitoring project progress, controlling costs and expenditure.

Opportunity: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Solihull

Salary: up to 48k + car + benefits

Our client, a global civil engineering business, are currently seeking an experienced senior quantity surveyor. Offering up to 48k + car + benefits, the successful candidate will be providing a surveying and contractual service to civil engineering projects, and supporting the Commercial Manager and managing QS responsible for business stream; Controlling commercial activity of projects, including surveying, monitoring project progress, controlling costs and expenditure on project in order to maximise profit.

Responsibilities
-Lead the commercial administration of a project and promote a positive working culture.
-Procurement and administration of subcontract accounts
-Aid the continuing professional development of subordinates.
-Provide accurate reporting / forecasting in relation to costs & value
-Implement and manage effective change control
-Collaborate with all departments within the team to assist them in meeting their accountabilities.
-Provide accurate reporting / forecasting in relation to costs & value.
-Support the project in complying with the contract in relation to commercial matters.
-Routine and regular commercial analysis
-Management of risk and opportunity
Submit and agree interim Applications for payment
-Adhere to the subcontract financial management systems.
-Ensure that subcontract accounts are placed and controlled in line with the procurement strategy
-Robust forecasting of out turn costs.
-Margin forecasting in line with finance rules
