Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit 2 ambitious graduate (or equivalent) Project Managers who are seeking a career in this sector for our client company who are based in Thame, Oxfordshire. We are looking for bright individuals who have a proven track record of doing well in their studies and so a 1st class degree (or equivalent) would be hugely advantageous although those of a 2.1 standard (or equivalent) would also be considered. Although our client are open to which discipline you have gained your qualifications, Construction & Civil Engineering would be preferable.

Our client are involved in the Project Management of a range of shop and building fittings in various sectors all around Europe so although the role will be based in Oxfordshire this represents an exciting opportunity to Project Manage around Europe and even some of your training will be taking place in our clients head offices in Germany to give you a taste for this, spending time in their warehouse working with stock and sitting with their purchasing team which are also based there.

The role itself has come about as it our client has found it hard to find PM's who can come in and hit the ground running due to the complex and unique nature of the roles here so they have decided to invest a large sum in to people coming in to the role to develop them in to Project Managers of the highest standard thus representing an excellent opportunity for the correct people.

Below are the Specific Objectives which will be the job of a fully trained PM:

* Actively develop the client relationship
* Manage client and ensure that the company and client requirements ar3e met
* Take overall control of the project
* Ensure agreed margin is maintained
* Ensure order cover is received for all work carried out, or stock on order/contract
* Manage project to agreed time line
* Closing project
* Ensure quality of job i.e. kit installation
* Ensure effective flow of information
* Carry out risk management of all projects
* Continuous maintenance of relationships with our customers including all measures that will have a strong and positive effect on customer loyalty

Essential skills:

* Strong communication skills
* Excellent at building and maintaining relationships
* Excellent academic background - 1st class degree (or equivalent) preferable in Construction & Civil Engineering (although other disciplines are considered)

This represents an excellent opportunity for ambitious people looking to pursue a career in Project Management. To give you an idea, more established Project Managers earn £45,000 as a basic wage
