Salary: up to 70K, car + benefits

We are currently looking to recruit a bid centre manager for our client, a leading construction organisation. This opportunity will be managing the bidding function for the company, across the Yorkshire and North East regions, and will offer a salary of up to 70k + car + extensive benefits. We are ideally looking for a candidate with a proven track record, looking to take on an exciting opportunity with a fantastic opportunity to progress as the company moves forward.

The role will be working out of the Wakefield office, and will involve occasional travel to Newcastle also. There will be flexibility to work from home also, however naturally a large amount of work will be in the office. Experience of running a pre construction team would be preferable, and we will require candidates to be able to present their work internally and externally. Although construction experience would be ideal, we would be keen to hear from candidates within other industries also.

The Role
-Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
-To lead the 'work winning' process for the Yorkshire and North East regions
-Manage the function across bids - ensuring strategies and action plans are in place, and that adequate resources are deployed
-To lead key bids
-Develop best-practice processes and oversee the preparation and presentation of all submission and presentation documentation
-To control and forecast bid costs

This is a key role within our Yorkshire/North East operations and we are looking for someone who can demonstrate a successful track record in the bid arena, have in depth knowledge and understanding of the end to end bid process and experience of leading a successful bid team.
