We are currently looking to recruit a senior quantity surveyor, working for our client, a leading infrastructure services business. Offering up to 43k per annum plus car, benefits and bonus, we are looking for candidates based in Yorkshire as the role will be site based, although there will be an office in Leeds to base out of also. Ideally with 5+ years' experience, candidates will ideally be qualified, although we look also look to hear from project surveyors looking to progress.

Job Description
Provide a surveying service for large and complex queries or manages several smaller projects.

Requirements
May be involved with pre-construction activities

Responsible for the more complex projects within the region

Preferably RICS or MCIOB qualified

Likely to be site based

Responsibilities

-Work closely with the project/site manager to ensure commercial and construction activities are integrated

-Encourage and coach team members to develop their skills, giving regular feedback and providing challenging learning experiences.

-Ensure employees feel motivated and engaged to deliver excellence

-Recruit and promote the best people available to meet business needs

-Manage commercial and contractual arrangements associated with projects and works

-Identify and manage risk and opportunity on projects and raise these to Senior Management

-Manage the procurement process and payment of sub-contractors in accordance with company procedures.

-Ensure costs allocated to jobs are correct

-Measure price, negotiate and agree costs and budgets for projects and project variances

-Manage and maximise cash flow to meet company standards and budgets

-Produce financial and managerial reports that monitor project progress

-Promote the Sustainability Vision and Roadmap ensuring team members understand any sustainability practises relevant to their role, and encourage continuous improvement.
