Job Summary

You will schedules and supervise the performance of both routine and emergency service on a variety of state of the art critical systems, including but not limited to; medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, fire detection/suppression and building management systems.


Job Description

Role: Data Centre Critical Facilities Manager
Location: Aberdeen
Package: £60-75,000 plus benefits

Overview:
You`ll be responsible for the supervision of a team of technicians that are engaged in mission critical facility infrastructure systems Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for a Data Centre.
You will schedules and supervise the performance of both routine and emergency service on a variety of state of the art critical systems, including but not limited to; medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, fire detection/suppression and building management systems.

The CFM works with IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects manage capacity and optimise plant safety and performance, reliability and efficiency. Responsibilities also include ensuring that detailed procedures are prepared and utilized for all work on critical facility equipment, maintaining a constant state of readiness in support of the mission goal of 100% uptime, and establishing a culture of excellence and constant process improvement.

You`ll be tasked with key responsibility to in the following areas:

*Uptime
*Environmental Health and Safety
*Code and Regulatory Compliance
*Emergency Preparation and Response
*Change Management
*Quality System
*Electrical Systems
*HVAC Systems
*Monitoring and Control Systems


Key skills:
*At least five years of facility operations and maintenance experience, ideally within a data centre environment.
*Experience supervising technical engineering staff.
*Technical knowledge of electrical distribution and emergency/standby power systems, HVAC systems, fire detection/suppression or monitoring/control systems.
*Very good verbal and written communications skills.
*Familiarity with TCP/IP based computer networking.
* Proficiency in MS Office programs: Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook
