Electrical systems manager (High Voltage).

£45-£55K + car + 20% bonus + holidays

In this role you will play a key part in ensuring that the HV and heavy electrical new build and upgrade projects are completed successfully. You will produce and review technical standards and standard solutions to promote commonality in the electrical infrastructure across all sites. You will regularly write, review and update electrical technical and safety specifications to promote continuous improvement on how these installs are completed by the main contractor. In this role you will carry out electrical investigations when technical problems occur and write reports to explain where the fault lies with suggested solutions to prevent similar issues happening again in the future. You will be the key body on the ground on behalf of our client, providing technical support/ advise and liaising with the key contractor to ensure the work is carried out to the our clients required standard, including adhering to technical specifications and safety protocols. You will carry out acceptance testing to verify all new equipment has been installed to the correct standards.
In this role you will work alongside the project managers assisting in assessing different suppliers as well as negotiating fees to get the best value for money and levels of quality from contractors and suppliers. This role will require you to be mobile and to visit a number of different sites throughout the working week. It is expected that you may have to stay overnight sometimes once a week and in times of extreme demand maybe even a second night. You will be provided with a company car and all expenses will be covered.

We are looking for an experienced High voltage and heavy electrical professionals who have completed electrical connection work in the past and possesses strong communication and negotiating skills. Candidates will be expected to have a strong background working with high voltage (HV) and low voltage Powers systems (LV). Candidates will need have strong attention to details and have the good written and presentation skills as you will be required to write reports and technical specifications. We would ideally like to speak with candidates who possess a decent level of education so degree, HND or HNC in electrical engineering would be expected. Although experience is a key factor with this role, if you are able to demonstrate that you are capable of performing the tasks and responsibilities you would be considered.

# Appreciation of waste industry and processes
