We're looking for a Production Planner to oversee the scheduling operation at one of our bigger sites in the UK. It's a busy role with the opportunity to gain tactical experience across a variety of departments but we will take the time to develop you and provide training.

The Role
As your new Production Planner role you'll sit in the hub of our works team to schedule production runs and coordinate these with the customer orders coming in from the sales teams.
Everything will come through you. As Production Planner you'll spend a lot of time liaising with various departments to ensure you always have the most up-to-date information possible.

The Production Planner role will involve a lot of problem solving and you'll be the first point of call when changes need to be made, analysing the cause, finding a solution and wherever you can looking to improve systems to ensure production is more streamlined next time.

The Candidate
If you've got great MS Excel knowledge and want to develop your career in production planning we'd like to hear from you!

To be able to hit the ground running any experience in scheduling production runs, controlling materials or using an MRP or ERP system to plan works would be seen as highly beneficial, if you've used SAP that would be a big bonus.
You will need intermediate or advanced MS Excel skills to be considered for the Production Planner role, a lot of your work will be done on the software so you should be able to do pivot tables, v-lookups and conditional formatting in your sleep.

This is a really proactive Production Planner role and you will be going onto the shop floor to liaise with production staff, the buying team and other departments so you will need to enjoy working closely with a variety of people.
