The Opportunity
Bluefire Consulting are recruiting for a Project Manager (Aerospace) to oversee a new product introduction programme for a world leading manufacturer based in Bristol. Working on a high-profile commercial project as the Project Manager (Aerospace) you be responsible for innovative processes and managing the relationship with one of the world's most recognisable organisations.

The Role
As the Project Manager (Aerospace) your role is to review and influence pre-contract negotiations prior to sign off and from there ensure that the agreed programme is executed and delivered on time and to cost. Main duties of the Project Manager (Aerospace) role will include:
*overseeing the work of the VSM/Manufacturing Managers and the project team
*handling the relationship with the customer including managing expectations
*assessing operational efficiency
*implementing internal and external change processes
*ensuring resources and capability requirements are assessed and allocated appropriately
*taking responsibility for the supply chain
*troubleshooting operational or project issues efficiently and effectively
*managing an efficient handover to product support and operations at project end

The Candidate
As a successful Project Manager (Aerospace) candidate it is essential you have experience in manufacturing large metal components and managing large projects in a technical, multi-functional environments. A project management qualification such as Prince 2, PMI or PMP plus a background working within the aerospace or aviation industry would be regarded as highly advantageous.

Confident negotiating with internal and external stakeholders with exemplary communication, organisation and negotiation skills any Project Manager (Aerospace) looking to take on the role will need a degree (or equivalent) or HND in an engineering discipline.
