The Opportunity
We have a great opportunity for a Service Engineer to join a successful family run SME in Bristol. Renovating, servicing and calibrating high value diagnostic and therapy equipment, for customers in the UK and abroad. The successful candidate will be working within a thriving team and have the opportunity to build up and develop their own department. This is an exciting role for an engineer who likes thinking outside the box and finding solutions. Applicants must have relevant Electronic Engineering qualifications to a HNC/HND level or equivalent. Previous experience working within a medical device service and repair environment in also favourable.

The Role
The Service Engineer will provide quick and high quality technical service on top value diagnostic and therapy equipment. First, second and in some cases third line service for a range of pre-owned and new equipment. Whilst developing, documenting and carrying out procedures for dealing with equipment for repair and servicing.

Day to day tasks;
* Liaise with OEM organisations to obtain parts and service for a wide variety of medical equipment.
* To provide telephone assistance to customers.
* Manage tooling, documentation and training records to ensure compliance.
* Arrange & conduct training for customers.
* Arrange all site visits for service of all hospital equipment on maintenance contract.
* Maintain a library of technical manuals for all equipment.
* Conduct a continuous development of all testing standards to ensure compliance.
* Maintain the database of calibrated test equipment ensuring currency of equipment IAW with ISO.
* Develop a detailed technical understanding of a wide range of medical devices to facilitate support to the repair laboratory and in-field engineers, in relation to queries concerning repair/servicing work, or improvement activity.
* Resolve technical queries arising from other internal departments and customers either directly or through liaison with OEM.
* Source parts and consumables for equipment to maintain serviceability.

The Candidate
We are looking for an independent and confident candidate who is able to manage their schedules, customers and time efficiently. Somebody with a good knowledge of technical service on high value diagnostic and therapy equipment, who is good at finding solutions.
