The Opportunity:

Technical Trainer (Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services) required for our client who are a multinational organisation and one of the world's largest electrical companies based just outside Burton-Upon-Trent. The Technical Trainer (Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services) is ideal for someone from a forces background with electrical, mechanical and building services knowledge and experience or a college trainer (HNC level).

For the Technical Trainer (Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services) role, attitude is key and experience is not 2 established professionals came from forces backgrounds as already stated.


The Role:

For the Technical Trainer (Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services) role you will lead a new training academy that the company have built is state of the art and offers a real world, hands on environment with key systems across a technical building services arena so the courses delivered will be a blend of hands on practical, along with theoretical based classroom work.

Key responsibilities:

-Conduct training activities and lectures in building services mechanical and electrical systems, applications and commissioning.

-Other duties may include delivering training to external customers and partners, including building management systems, security and fire products.

-To help develop and implement in-house training courses. To include course materials, literature and manuals.

-Help in the analysis of employee training needs, and formulate training programmes / strategy to minimise gaps, recommending improvements when necessary.


The Person:

For the Technical Trainer (Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services) we want someone who is 50 - 50 split for mechanical and electrical so knowledge on both is essential with knowledge of building services and such.

-A comprehensive understanding of M&E Building services systems and the ability to pass this knowledge and experience on to engineers coming into the training school.

-A Degree / B.Sc. / HND / HNC in a Mechanical Services discipline or similar

-Although no formal training / assessor qualifications are required it is assumed you will have the ability to deliver material in a workshop / training school environment.

- Technical knowledge ideally including HVAC, HV / LV, alarm systems etc.
