Job Summary

We are looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer, Covering the Cambridge, Luton, Northampton area. In this role you would be based from home traveling to customer sites. The role is Paying £10.50ph to £11.50ph on a 40 hour week. Time and a half on anything over this and plenty of overtime is available. This includes a £2000 London weighting fee in you reside within the M25 which will be paid in four instalments of £500 quarterly.Van and tools supplied.

Field Service Engineer

Time and a half on anything over this and plenty of overtime is available.
This includes a £2000 London weighting fee for anyone who resides within the M25, which will be paid in four instalments of £500 quarterly
Van and tools supplied.

The Role
Field Service Engineer
The purpose of the role is to install, service and repair waste compactors, vertical and horizontal balers to a safe and functional standard and also provide customer training as appropriate.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for

*Responding to reactive maintenance requests within the UK mainland.
*Evaluating and resolving electrical and hydraulic problems.
*Carrying out the installation of waste compaction machinery and ancillary equipment.
*Liaising with and working alongside technical engineers.
*Providing training on machine operation to customers and end users.
*Repairing, testing and maintaining equipment.
*Providing service report and time sheets to the Service Manager for evaluation.
*Providing customers with reports and feedback on their service requests.
*Developing and maintaining relationships with customers.
*Making recommendations and providing advice to customers, peers and superiors alike.
*Providing feedback on future product development, features and functions, including involvement in project teams as required.
*To assist on the development of the service business model, relating to opportunities for continuous improvement and profitability.
*Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management both on company and external customer sites.
*Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.
*To undergo training and development to support the company's drive towards improved working practices and policies.

The Candidate
The ideal Field Service Engineer will have;
Mechanical, electrical and hydraulic experience
Previous experience as a Field Engineer
Previous customer facing experience
A full UK driving license
Previous repair experience of waste compactors, vertical and horizontal balers
Excellent communication skills
Excellent team working skills
Good health and safety knowledge
Comfortable in a waste recycling environment

The Field Service Engineer will work for the UK's leading manufacturer and supplier of waste compactors and baling equipment.

The Package
Paying £10.50ph to £11.50ph on a standard 40 hour week & Time and a half on anything over this. There is plenty of overtime available.
You will be paid from the moment you enter your van in the morning, until you return at night, not just on the job.
This includes a £2000 London weighting fee for anyone who resides within the M25, which will be paid in four instalments of £500 quarterly
