Regional Manager (engineering)
Cardiff/Bristol
£35-£41K + car + 33 days holidays, company car, + Pension+ Healthcare contributions.

This is a truly unique opportunity for an engineering manager with multisite experience to join a national leading organisation in a time of prolonged growth and prosperity. This is an opportunity to really demonstrate your business acumen and people manager skills. This opportunity will suit candidates from an engineering/tool/plant hire background who have in the past looked after at least 2+ sites including full accountability for profit and loss.

In this role you will be responsible for managing a region consisting of three key sites located in Cardiff and Bristol. The sites provide hired equipment to the Construction, Civil, engineering, automotive and catering industries. You will be responsible for helping to implement the engineering and support plane across the three sites.
Each site will have its own branch manager who will report directly into the regional manager. You will provide outstanding leadership and direction to the site branch managers guiding them on how to improve the day to day performance of both their employees and stores. You will have overall responsibility for ensuring each site hits sales targets and is essentially profitable. You will carry out appraisals and disciplinary' s, set targets and drive performance.
You will look to implement new and progressive ways of working to ensure each site continually looks to improve its performance. We are looking for regional managers who are able to drive their teams to achieve above and beyond the targets which are set, while creating an environment and culture which demonstrates career progression. You will help to ensure that agreed SLA's are met and customers are left feeling appreciated and valued at all times.
You will undertake a range of different projects when called upon which you will be expected to deliver on time and budget. These can range from opening new branches, to meeting with new customers to introducing new products. As you will be required to visit multiple sites it is essential that you have a a valid UK driving licence. The role comes with a company car.

The ideal candidate for this role will be from an engineering tool hire, manufacturing background who has multisite experience. We are looking for candidates who have previously worked in either engineering, repair or manufacturing environments. We would welcome candidates who have come from a technical background with either mechanical, electrical skills and progressed into a leadership role. Coming from an engineering background will allow you to appreciate how long it takes fitters to repair equipment and the problems that they can face. Candidates for this role will be natural leaders of people who has excellent communication, timekeeping and organisational skills ideally combined with a technical background within the tool/plant hire industry.
We are looking for candidates who have previously been accountable for budgets including profit and loss and performance of sites they are looking after.

The Package
