The Opportunity

Our client is a FTSE 100 manufacturer working within the medical device industry, with multiple worldwide production facilities. We are currently looking for a Project Manager, to manage some exciting new products and upgrades to our clients wound care range. This will be a great time to join a company riding the crest of the wave at the moment, in late 2016 they became FTSE 100 and have been investing millions in both of their UK production sites in recent months leading to headcount increases on both sites and also new business units being added to both sites of theirs in the UK.

The Company

A global business with a proven track record within the medical wound care market. Our client have over 750 UK based employees spread over 3 different sites. They are one of the world leaders in R&D and are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team in the North West.

The Role

This is a role for a fully-fledged Project Manager, we need someone with experience working within the Pharmaceutical or Medical Devices/Products sector. You'll have had experience managing projects for new product implementations, or upgrades or modifications. This is a 1 year fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave. You'll be very used to creating work plans/schedules, managing your time and ensuring cross functional groups and yourself meet given objectives, goals and milestones.

You'll naturally have a history of overcoming barriers, whether this be in processes or materials, you'll be used to running concurrent projects at any one time and will have a firm grip on time, money and capital equipment needed to deliver the project to its given targets.

You'll have a solid track record in managing stakeholders, both internally within the business and externally within the industry, keeping them abreast of the schedule and progress of the projects you run. The role requires you to have a keen eye for detail, ensuring quality of work completed meets the required standards and will be accustomed to checking this on a regular basis.

Aside from your specific projects, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the overall company processes, and help key overall business projects and ensure compliance and regulations are being kept company wide.

The Candidate

First of all you will have a desire to work for a FTSE 100 company and add value. The role may only currently be for one year, but for the right individual there is always a chance the company could have something longer term in the next 12 months. You'll have done this role before, whether it be on a contract basis or with a longer term fixed term contracting or even permanent job history.

You'll be a great communicator, and very well organized with a proven track record verifiable by references of similar project you have run in the past. You may be more junior looking to step up or more senior looking at something more stable, we are open-minded as long as your skillset and attitude is right to meet the objectives of this project.

You have project managed upgrade projects, modifications or NPI/NPD within the healthcare sphere whether this be pharma or medical devices, that is a key part of this role.

Qualifications

Medical Device/Pharmaceutical Project Management Experience
Project Management Qualification (would be advantageous)
Relevant technical qualification, Degree, HND/HNC within related field would be an advantage

The Package

This role is paying:

£40 - 65k
Up to 7% bonus
Holiday 25 days + 8 stats (opportunity to increase holiday with years served)
Contributory Pension (salary sacrifice) 3.5-8.5% from company depending on your contribution
