Job Description

Role - HS&E Advisor
Location - Denbighshire, North Wales
Package - £30-36,000 plus healthcare & pension, bonus

Overview:
To provide Health & Safety, Environmental management, advice and information to all as well as client/customers & suppliers. Lead the EHS strategies and ensure that the simplest and most effective systems are implemented and compliance is maintained in all areas of the Company's operations to a standard format in the field and across all offices.

This is a mixed use manufacturing and warehouse site, but experience in that field is not strictly essential and we are more interested in the soft skills - engagement with staff, training, guidance and coaching, culture management , along with assumed H&S qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH.

This is not a stereotypical warehouse and manufacture environment and as such, we are not looking for a straight to the point, "H&S policeman", rather a stakeholder savvy professional that uses a fair, liberal approach to ensure best practice and knowledge.

Responsibilities:

*To promote, develop and improve Health, Safety and Environment systems in accordance with current legislation throughout the organisation.
*Uphold and lead ISO14001 environmental and OHSAS18001 accreditations

*Provision of information, advice and instruction within an open and honest culture on the agreed procedures and legal and moral duties of the Company in line with Company, local and national legislation.
*Implement regular and impromptu site inspections for quality & safety.
*Analysis of Health & Safety, Environmental performance via internal audits.
*Accident and incident investigation, report findings, including recommendations
*Analysis and evaluation of existing processes, procedures and systems to identify areas for improvement.
*Ensure regular tool box talks / H & S guidance notes are disseminated through the operational staff.
*Ensure all new & existing suppliers meet supplier approval system.
*Financial responsibility for quality and safety budgets as agreed with MD
*Identify opportunities for continuous health, safety and environmental improvement and implement programmes to deliver these
*Manage and control recycling and waste management procedures
*Provide technical support to all departments on all projects, and on building modifications that have environmental impacts and aspects.

Required skills:
Recognised H&S qualification - NEBOSH certificate or ideally Diploma (Or IOSH)
PC literate on Microsoft Office
Report writing skills
Good communicator - a leader and influencer of positive culture transformation

The company:
Very successful business unit within a global corporation. Diverse site using forward thinking methodology with a settled and professional workforce that is keen to embrace positive change.
